About The Owner and Management

Heaven’s Best of Lancaster County is owned by JoAnn Dilts and operated by her husband Dave.  Dave had worked as either a Safety or Environmental Engineer for over 20 years. After his last downsizing, he was ready to get involved in a business that 1) he would enjoy 2) he could manage for many years to come 3) could be built and left to his son. After discovering what an exceptional company Heaven’s Best Carpet Cleaning was, he and JoAnn visited an active franchise
in D.C., were very impressed, studied all options and opportunities available and invested in the franchise.

Dave had been operating the franchise full-time, for the first two years and had his son Dan assist as needed. All the hard work paid off. Dan came aboard and became trained and certified. Together they are building a solid business and reputation within Lancaster County. As a professional team they concentrate in giving their Heaven’s Best customers the service and attention they deserve, personally, on a daily basis.

Dave’s wife JoAnn is the owner of the franchise. (Dave had leukemia in 1995 and figured that it might be more prudent to arrange ownership this way. Dave enjoys remission since 1996.) JoAnn has worked as a controller in a local company since 1994. With Heaven’s Best, she manages the accounting and is involved in virtually all aspects of the business.  JoAnn is involved in each and every major decision, many minor ones, is trained and certified as well and works along with Dave and Dan on larger jobs. She is a tremendous asset in scheduling and planning work.

Dave and JoAnn have three children, Stef, Katie and Dan.  Stef is married and works as a geologist with a major oil company in Houston, TX, Katie is finishing a degree in Psychology at Millersville and Dan is employed full-time as an operator with Heaven’s Best.

Dave & JoAnn have lived in Lancaster County for nearly 25 years now, in the same home in Landisville with their Cockapoo, Jack. With Jack just about 4, we know a little about cleaning carpets, tile, rugs and upholstery.
