Tip# 5

It’s SPRING! When you open those doors and windows to let the Spring inside, remember that you are also letting dust and pollen into your living and sleeping areas!  We can clean your carpet and upholstery, reducing or eliminating the residual allergens, and leaving your home fresh and clean!

Tip #4

Change your vacuum bag or clean the bagless canister according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

This will help ensure maximum carpet soil removal.

Tip #3

Place walk off entry mats at all entrances to prevent, soil, mud,  water and chemicals
from reaching  the carpet. The mats should cover several footsteps. Vacuum mats often!

In your home, either wash in the washer or power wash as appropriate for your mat.

In your business, power wash every so often, depending upon your traffic.

Tip #2

Let’s start the New Year 2010 off right.

Vacuum carpets 1-2 times/week with a good quality vacuum. Vary direction of the
vacuum to remove both surface and deep dirt.

One question asked more often than any other is this: “What is a good quality vacuum cleaner?”We do not recommend any specific brand or model, but we can say that one that is used 1-2 times per week is far better than any others on the market that stay in the closet or basement.

This being said, we will share with you one of our secret weapons. We use the Hoover Conquest, with the bag attachment.

It is the most user friendly and reliable pieces of equipment in our van. It is a little heavy, but durable.

Tip #1

Carpeting is more economical to maintain than to replace!!!

In the months and possibly years ahead, maintaining what we have (own and/or have
responsibility for) as individuals, families and companies is going to become increasingly more
important.

On 12/31/08, it was learned that to replace a certain carpet was going to cost $25,000.
Cleaning would cost $1,400. After cleaning, it looks very acceptable and the carpet will not
need to be changed for some years with recommended maintenance cleanings.

The same is true for almost any home….it is much better to maintain than to buy new,
especially when there is a process that makes the carpeting look all but new 95++% of the time.

All cleaning companies and processes are not the same.
